About Lina

(aka The Pod Nerd)

Podcast Addict / Listener Advocate / Podcast Professional

I help podcasters stop focusing on the wrong things, and start paying attention to what actually matters:

The listener.

Why I care so much about listeners

I listen to (and study) podcasts… a lot.

No, but really... it's sort of a slight obsession.

My husband knows that if he wants my attention, he usually has to pause whatever I’m listening/watching before he can start a conversation.

At this point, podcasts aren’t just something I enjoy... they’re part of how I move through my day.

Brewing tea, working out, feeding my parakeets… there’s almost always something playing in my earbuds.

(Yes, I know I need device-free moments where I'm not being distracted, in order to be in the present moment... but let's not go down that rabbit hole, right now!)

Oh and I'm embarrassed to admit that podcasts end up in almost every conversation I have... with friends, at the doctor’s office, even in therapy. 😄

I’m always:

  • noticing what works.

  • noticing what doesn’t.

  • remembering how something felt to listen to.

That’s where my perspective comes from.

Not just from working from within the podcast ecosystem,
but from constantly experiencing them as a listener.

That’s why I care so much about the listener experience—because I’m living it every single day.

A little more context (without the resume)

I’m a podcast editor and strategist who’s obsessed with the listener experience.

I’ve worked across editing, hosting, social clips, consulting, audits, producing, and guest booking...

which means I don’t just give advice based on theory.

I understand how podcasts actually get made…
and how they’re actually experienced.

What you can expect from me

  • Honest feedback (no fluff)

  • A listener-first perspective

  • Practical next steps you can actually use

I take podcasting seriously... but I don’t take myself too seriously.

If you like thoughtful feedback, nerdy observations, and the occasional rant (or rave)... we'll get along!

Random Nerd Facts About Me

(In case you’re wondering what kind of person you’re getting advice from.)

I shaved my head in 2022 after thyroid-related hair loss. Buzzcut life lasted for almost 2 years...and yes, it was totally fun!

I used to drive a semi-truck all over the U.S. Yep... 18 wheels, sleeping in truck stops, showering every 3 days, the whole thing!

I self-publish journals focused on mental health, physical wellness, and habit tracking.

I’m an extroverted introvert. I’ll be the first one on the dance floor,... and also the first one to say, “Can we just stay in tonight?”

If you're serious about improving, let's talk. I review shows, identify where listeners drop off, and help you fix it.
